Super Eagles Draw 0 – 0 Against Uganda, In Asaba

Local-Sport 6

The Super Eagles drew 0-0 against Uganda in an international friendly match played on Tuesday at the Stephen Keshi International Stadium in Asaba, Delta State.

Coach Gernot Rohr had a strong side, with Alex Iwobi, Ahmed Musa and Oghenekaro Etebo all starting against The Cranes.

However, they could not find the net, in what was generally a difficult game.

It was the first game in which Rohr’s men played, having reserved their place in the 2019 African Cup, after a 1-1 draw with South Africa on Saturday.

Uganda also qualified for the tournament after beating Cape Verde 1-0 at Nelson Mandela Stadium in Kampala.

The Cranes defeated the Super Eagles 1-0 the last time both teams met in a friendly match on March 25, 2015.
