Gernot Rohr, Musa, Iwobi, Ighalo, Ndidi Nominated For CAF Awards 2018

The Confederation of African Football has released the list of nominees for various of the CAF Awards 2018: The Awards Gala, to honour footballers and officials who distinguished themselves during the year under review.

Three of Super Eagles players have been nominated for 2018 Africa Player of the Year, namely Ahmed Musa, Alex Iwobi, and Odion Ighalo together with thirty-one other African footballers.

One Super Eagles player has been nominated for 2018 Africa Youth Player of the Year, namely Winfred Ndidi, who plays for Leceister City in England.

Not left out in the nomination is the Super Eagles coach, Gernot Rohr who led Nigeria to the World cup in Russia and has now qualified the team for AFCON 2019 to be held in Cameroon

The Awards Gala will be held on Tuesday, 8 January 2019 in Dakar, Senegal.
