Ritualist Arrested With Human Parts From Grave In Atan Cemetery
A 53-year-old man, Rasaq Dosa, could face murder charges after being captured with human parts which he stole from a Lagos cemetery.
The alleged ritualist was arrested in the famous Atan Cemetery located in Yaba, Lagos.
He was captured after going to the cemetery at night, exhuming the body of someone buried there, took the skull and fled.
However, unknown to Dosa, there were cases of complaints about the missing corpses and the fortified security of the administration in the cemetery that finally approached him and found him with the human skull.
Later he was accompanied by his accomplices. PM Express reports that he was accused of killing the person who was found with the skull and handed over to police in SCIID Panti, to investigate an alleged murder. But Dosa denied killing anyone and confessed that he went to the cemetery only to steal the skull for spiritual purposes.
The police did not believe him and was accused before the Ebute Metta Magistrates Court for being in possession of a human part. The prosecutor, Inspector Adams, informed the court that he found Dosa with the human part.
Therefore, the Presiding Magistrate, Mr. A.O. Kolamofe, remanded him and others in prison custody and directed the prosecutor to duplicate the file and send to DPP for advice.
However, it was learned that Dosa could be charged with murder because he could not convince the police that he did not kill the victim who had his skull when he was arrested.
